Day 99 - Panama City - Santiago

Distance travelled (by bike): 10,080

We decided to leave Panama city for Santiago early to avoid the worst of the traffic and the heat of the day. After navigating through the city we we were soon driving over the Bridge of the Americas leaving Panama City behind heading north along the Pan American highway.
The reason we took the Pan American was to make up some time and get to David then Costa Rica. This was a necessary evil, the scenery became increasingly dull as we drove further north. The pan american highway through Panama seems like its been sold to a marketing company, adverts, billboards, banners plaster both sides of the road.
After driving passed 3 policemen, who had been waving, the forth pulled me over for speeding. After issuing me a ticket, he torn it up deciding that explaining how and where to pay it, with my lack of spanish would be a huge waste of his time. We arrived at Santiago, and found a bizarre mexican themed hostel to stay in.
