Day 250 - Port Hardy - Campbell River

Distance travelled (by bike):  37,400

Before leaving Port Hardy i met Rob. Rob is a British expat, he and his wife owned the hostel where i was staying (along with other establishments in Port Hardy), i ended up having breakfast and coffee with him and his friend Peter. Both are huge travellers, in their time they have driven from the UK to Australia, in the 70's took an MG convertible around the US and central america and hiked through Argentina and Chile. To top things off they both drank in the George pub in London Bridge when they were in London (for those who don't know, thats one of my local pubs).
Somewhere over the last couple of days i have managed to irritate my right eye, the whole thing is blood shot and really sore, causing some strange looks, a biker with one normal eye and one twitching red eye.

There really isn't much to do in Port Hardy in the  fog, i decided to see what port Alice was like, its small and much the same as Port Hardy, in fog.
From Port Alice it was a sedate ride south to Campbell River, the skies cleared the road fantastic and the temperature drastically increased, i had to take the quilt layer out of my bike gear and switch back to the light weight gloves...Happy days

one side of my eye, the other is a mirror image - nice!
