Customs / Buenos Aires

Day (s) 1-2

Distance travelled - 20 miles

Managed (with help) untangle the importation process in argentina, took time, patients and a lot of walking (when in bike gear, in 30 degree heat, this undertaking is not pleasant). So, bike is now cleared, insurance payed, import certificate granted..what could go wrong!

- Spoke to soon, the so called 'trusty' bike decided it took a dislike to air travel, breaking down eight times returning from the airport, in Buenos Aires rush hour traffic..not fun, long story short managed to limp back. Bike parked content in garage, owner not quite as content. So frustrated i took no photos on the side of the road...Departing on monday, not going to happen, next monday, small possibility (fingers crossed). If it turns out to be the fuel pump (first guess) then the remainder of south America could be by bus, as nowhere in seem to stock one (fair enough why would they).

Small problem aside, really enjoying Buenos Aires, people, atmosphere, food & wine...there are worse places i could be stuck!!

Bike contently locked in the hostel...not going anywhere!
